Not all the products we sell are regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and the purpose of this page is to help you understand what products are regulated and what activities in relation to those products are regulated.
We are authorised for certain activities relating to:

- Pure Protection Contracts

We appreciate that the description of some of the product names such as Regulated Mortgage Contract and Pure Protection Contract are technical terms and therefore we have tried to summarise below what products we sell and which heading they fall under.
This is not a complete list and the FSA definitions are complex so if you are not sure whether a product or the activities relating to it are regulated then please contact us.
Deposit Taking
This covers our branch based and postal savings accounts e.g.:
- Our cash account
- Regular Savings Account
- The Derbyshire mini cash ISA
- Postal Premium
Regulated Mortgage Contracts
- The Financial Services Authority regulate most of our new residential mortgages and further advances other than most Buy to Let mortgages.
- Most mortgages and further advances entered into before 31 October 2004 will not be regulated by the FSA unless something has taken place after 31 October 2004 which creates a new contract between us.
General Insurance
This covers the Buildings and Contents and Accident, Sickness and Unemployment insurance policies we sell including :
- Homecover Plus
- Paymentscover
Pure Protection Contracts
- This includes Mortgage Life Cover.
