Members' Council

Unfortunatley the closing date for applications for this year's recruitment has passed. Further information about the Council will be published here shortly.

Susan Reilly: Members' Council Chairperson

Susan was appointed as a Non Executive Director in 2006 having been nominated for the position by you, our members.

Susan Reilly "Derbyshire Building Society is an organisation that values its members. We recognise the importance of listening to our members and responding to their needs. This is why we are establishing a Members' Council, and this is your opportunity to participate  and make your membership count. I invite you to take an active interest and apply to join the Members' Council."

"This is a great chance to engage with other members and the people that run the Society and ensure that the voice of the membership is heard."

About the Members' Council

When making decisions about how we shape the Society and its products, we consider how this affects not just one member, or a group of members, but all our members. Which is why we are creating a Members' Council, so you have the chance to influence how we shape the future of the Society. The Members' Council will provide a direct link between you and the people who run the Society.

As a member on the Council you will get the chance to contribute your thoughts, ideas and feedback and discuss issues in detail with the people who make the decisions for the Society.

If you are selected to become a member you will get four opportunities a year to contribute your opinions and make a difference to the development of the Society. The meetings will take place early evening at venues throughout Derbyshire.

Who will be in the Council?

  • We are looking to select 24 of our members, from a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
  • Susan Reilly, who as a member herself will chair the Council.
  • Senior executives from across the Group who will be available to take your questions.
